Northern Beaches Hot Water installed an 80L Rheem hot water heater in Freshwater. This was an emergency installation, during the fierce Sydney storms, for a senior citizen who had been without power or water for four days. The job was carried out after hours, on a Friday night, at no extra cost. The heater was in a tight spot making lifting and maneuvering into position challenging, a temporary cupboard and clothes dryer removed had to be removed from the wall. Once in position, the heater fit like a glove, and the piping up and installation was enjoyable to perform. Northern Beaches Hot Water installed a Rheem Optima 250L hot water heater on Anzac Day at no extra cost. This heater assumed to be yet another casualty to the fierce storms which swept Sydney this week. The old heater had survived 20 years due to our client changing his sacrificial anode 4 times over the life of the heater. It was nice to see a heater last the distance with the correct servicing being given to it.

Hot water install in Manly. We received a call on the Wednesday of the big storms for no hot water. Our clients had an old Bosch instantaneous gas hot water system which had lived its last storm. We recommended to install a Rinnai Infinity 26. The new Rinnai went in with ease even after climbing to the top floor of the unit block which had no lift, with all tools and fittings.

Gas BBQ conversion from LPG to NG in Freshwater. Installation of outdoor kitchen sink. We supplied and installed cold and hot water to the location of the sink and natural gas to the BBQ location. Thanks to Roger for the cups of tea to keep the energy levels up.
We arrived early evening to find a 400 litre hot water system almost falling over. Our client had a gas meter ready to go so we suggested converting to a Rinnai instantaneous gas hot water heater. This week Northern Beaches Hot Water carried out replacement of an 80 litre DUX electric hot water unit. Our client called us with intermittent hot water issues, and after a site inspection, it was deemed the unit had seen a good 14 years of service and she was ready for retirement. Today Northern Beaches Hot Water completed a tidy, but tricky, hot water install in Cremorne. The 80L Rheem hot water heater needed to be hung on the wall in a cupboard and all the pipe work adapted to suit the installation of a new pressure limiting valve as per manufacturers Installation Instructions and a tempering valve as per the Australian Plumbing Standards.
The Original reason for our call was our client had a complaint of brown water which is usually a sign of rust within the hot water heater. The position of the hot water heater within the cupboard and no floor waste nearby was not ideal, so rather than risk a flood with a 15 year old system, our client decided it should be replaced.
Is your heater is showing signs of brown water ? Try filling up your hand basin with the plug in and checking the colour of the water against the white basin. If you can see a brown colour to the water then this is signs of rust within the hot water system.
